Band Leader

Saxophone (Alto, Tenor, and Soprano) / Clarinet

Steve Tashjian's talent and passion for music form the nucleus of Classic Groove. Steve began playing music at the age of 10 and first studied clarinet with Charles Movsessian. While attending the Boston Conservatory, Steve studied with Atilio Poto, Professor and Member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Steve has also studied Middle Eastern music with violinist Fred Elias.

Lee Lundy

Bass Guitar

Lee Lundy was educated at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and Miami Dade Community College of Music in Florida. Lee has performed extensively throughout the Boston area for nearly thirty years. His work includes performances with groups such as Percy Sledge, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, the Drifters, Luther Guitar Johnson, Little Joe Cook, James Montgomery, and Shirley Lewis, as well as with many other local and national acts.

Mark Michaels

Guitar & Vocals

Guitarist Mark Michaels can regularly be seen and heard in New England and beyond performing with many fine musicians and singers.

Educated at Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory, he has appeared with jazz greats George Russell, Jaki Byard, and Gil Evans, along with noted keyboardist/composer Rachel Z, and vibraphonist Steve Nelson. He has also appeared with many New England area bands that cover a diverse range of musical styles, including Lois Lane and the Daily Planets, Hypnotic Clambake, Blueswagon, and the Shimon Ben-Shir Group. More recently he has been performing in Southern New Hampshire with Sharon Jones and Downtown Express.

In addition, Mark has traveled abroad working on cruise ships, performing with show bands and as a solo guitarist. He has been an adjunct guitar instructor at UMass Lowell since 2002.

Dave Fuller

Drums

Dave Fuller is a drummer and a vocalist with many years of experience in the music industry, as a musician,song writer, vocalist and band leader. I am also a retired public Administrator (Weston) with a background in clinical counseling. I have been performing since I was 11 years old in many groups such as Natalie Cole,The OJays,Average White Band Tower of Power and Eddie Money just to name a few.I have recorded numerious times with my original music as well as being a studio musician in Boston and Los Angeles.

Paul Dillon

Drums and Vocals

Paul has drummed for numerous bands and music projects ranging from pop and rhythm & blues to classic rock and pick-up jazz trios. His recording and production of original music took a star turn when he landed an audition on TV's Star Search in the 1980s. Currently, Paul gives private lessons and plays with a number of area bands. He can be reached through his website, pauldillondrums.com.

Dave Dillon

Drums

David plays drums with Classic Groove. He has been playing and and making recordings with various artists in the Boston area for over 30 years. He is comfortable playing many types of music in various settings from small clubs to the the Hatch Shell on the Esplanade.
